An electric vehicle (EV) charger is a device that provides electricity to recharge the battery of an electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid vehicle. EV chargers are essential for supporting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles, enabling drivers to travel long distances and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. They come in various forms, from basic Level 1 chargers that plug into a standard outlet to advanced Level 3 DC fast chargers that provide rapid charging.

We can provide you with a professional solution to install an electric vehicle charging port at your home.

A few points to note. 

Your existing installation must comply with.

• You must not be on a looped supply

• Your existing consumer unit must be metal

• Your existing consumer unit must already have a 'Type A RCD'

• Your existing consumer unit must already have surge protection installed

Your existing consumer unit must have spare capacity for an additional circuit

Tethered or Untethered chargers

A tethered charger will be installed with a pre-fitted cable that cannot be removed. It's fixed to the device, making it an irremovable part of the charger. An untethered charger has no attached cable by default. In its place, you'll find a socket. To charge your EV, you'll need to plug your own cable into this socket.
